Breast lift (mastopexy, "modelace prsu") at GISANT raises and reshapes breasts that have sagged after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss or ageing — without adding or removing significant volume. The surgeon removes excess skin, reshapes the breast tissue into a higher, firmer contour and repositions the nipple-areola complex so it points forward rather than downward. The incision pattern is matched to the degree of sag, ranging from a scar around the areola to a vertical or anchor pattern for more pronounced ptosis. The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia with a one- to two-night stay, and the breast shape stabilises over about three months.
About this treatment
Mastopexy addresses breast ptosis — the descent of breast tissue that occurs when the skin envelope and supporting ligaments stretch over time. Unlike breast reduction, the volume of breast tissue is largely preserved; the operation focuses on reshaping the tissue and lifting the nipple-areola complex to a youthful height. The result is a breast that sits higher on the chest, has a rounder and firmer contour, and a forward-pointing nipple.
At GISANT the procedure costs CZK 45,000 and is performed under general anaesthesia, with anaesthesia and the one- to two-night hospital stay billed separately per the price list. The surgeon selects the incision pattern according to the degree of sag: minor ptosis can be corrected with a peri-areolar (doughnut) incision, moderate ptosis usually needs a vertical (lollipop) scar, and significant ptosis is addressed with an inverted-T (anchor) pattern that…
After surgery, stitches are removed at around two weeks and a sports or compression bra is worn to support the healing breast. Swelling and bruising are most pronounced in the first weeks and settle progressively; the final shape stabilises at around three months, with scars continuing to fade and soften for many months afterwards. Scar massage and sun protection support this process.
