Breast Augmentation with Lift (Modelace)

Augmentation with modelace combines breast enlargement and a lift (mastopexy) in a single operation, for women who want both more volume and a higher, firmer breast position. The surgeon inserts a silicone implant from Nagor, Polytech or Arion while removing excess skin and repositioning the nipple-areola complex to a youthful height. Because two corrections are performed together, the incision pattern is more extensive than for augmentation alone — an anchor-pattern scar is used when a larger lift is needed. The procedure is carried out under general anaesthesia at GISANT and is a frequent choice after pregnancy or significant weight loss, where breasts have both deflated and dropped.

Augmentation with modelace (augmentation mastopexy) solves a problem that neither an implant nor a lift alone can fully correct: breasts that have lost volume and dropped at the same time. Adding an implant to a sagging breast without a lift simply enlarges a low-sitting breast; performing a lift without an implant restores position but leaves the upper pole hollow. By combining the two, the surgeon restores both fullness and a youthful position in one anaesthetic episode. At GISANT the operation is priced as CZK 55,000 for the surgical work plus CZK 30,000 for the implant (Nagor, Polytech or Arion), totalling CZK 85,000. During surgery the implant is placed in an appropriate pocket while excess skin is removed and the breast tissue reshaped over the implant; the nipple-areola complex is moved up and, where necessary, reduced in size. The incision pattern depends on the degree of sag — a peri-areolar or vertical (lollipop) scar suffices for moderate ptosis, while an inverted-T (anchor) pattern is used when a larger lift is required. The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia, with anaesthesia billed separately per the price list, and typically involves an overnight stay. Recovery combines the aftercare of both component procedures: a supportive compression bra is worn for several weeks, stitches are removed in stages, and scar massage is taught to optimise healing. Bruising and swelling settle over the first weeks, and the final shape stabilises over two to three months. This combined procedure is most appropriate for women whose breasts have both deflated and sagged after pregnancy, breastfeeding or weight loss, and who want to avoid two separate operations. Because it is more complex than augmentation alone, the surgeon discusses the trade-off between scar length and the degree of lift at the consultation. Blood-thinning medication is discontinued before surgery, and a pre-operative examination is required for general anaesthesia.
