Laser hair removal that targets the pigment in the hair to reduce regrowth over a series of sessions, leaving skin smoother and lower-maintenance. Laser hair removal works by directing light into the hair follicle, where it is absorbed by the pigment and converted to heat that damages the follicle's ability to regrow hair. Because only hairs in their active growth phase respond at any one time, a course of treatments spaced several weeks apart is needed to progressively reduce regrowth across an area; most people see hair become finer, sparser and slower to return as the course goes on.
