About this treatment
The backs of the hands are one of the first areas to show ageing: the skin thins and loses its underlying fat, so the tendons, knuckles and veins beneath become more prominent and the hands can look bony and aged even when the face is well maintained. Injecting hyaluronic acid into this layer restores some of the lost volume, smoothing the surface and reducing the visibility of the underlying structures for a softer, more youthful appearance.
At Klinika dr Grażyny Bem the gel is distributed across the back of each hand, typically using a blunt cannula and gentle massage to spread it evenly over the tendons. The treatment takes around thirty to forty-five minutes and downtime is usually limited to mild swelling or tenderness for a day or two.
