About this treatment
FUE transplantation exploits a quirk of male and female pattern hair loss: follicles at the back and sides of the scalp are genetically resistant to the hormonal miniaturisation that thins the top. Moved individually to the hairline or crown, they keep growing for life.
The technique
under local anaesthesia, follicular units (naturally occurring groups of 1–4 hairs) are extracted one by one with a micro-punch of well under a millimetre, leaving only dot-like marks that heal invisibly within days — no strip excision, no linear scar, so short haircuts remain possible. Preparation required
