About this treatment
The eyes are the first place ageing shows and the first place others look. Upper eyelid skin stretches with age, creating a hood that can make applying make-up difficult and, in advanced cases, weigh on the lashes; lower lid fat pads bulge forward, creating permanent "bags" that no cream addresses. Blepharoplasty corrects both surgically — a precise, short procedure with decades of established technique.

under local anaesthesia, the surgeon excises the redundant skin (and a conservative amount of muscle/fat where indicated) through an incision hidden in the natural lid crease. The procedure takes 45–60 minutes for both eyes; sutures come out around day 5–7. Bruising and swelling settle over 1–2 weeks; most patients are socially presentable with glasses within a week. The scar matures into the crease and is essentially invisible.
