Vascular laser with the Cutera Excel V+ targets visible blood vessels and redness — broken capillaries, spider veins on the face, rosacea and vascular lesions — by delivering light that is absorbed by haemoglobin to collapse the unwanted vessels. It can treat the whole face or individual vessels, and leg vessels as well. Some conditions clear in one session while diffuse redness such as rosacea usually needs a short course.
About this treatment
Vascular laser treatment works by emitting wavelengths of light that are preferentially absorbed by haemoglobin, the pigment in red blood cells. The absorbed energy heats and damages the wall of the targeted blood vessel, which then collapses and is gradually reabsorbed by the body, reducing the visible redness or vessel at the surface.
