Laser hair removal with the Cutera Excel HR system targets the pigment in hair follicles to reduce unwanted hair over a course of sessions. It suits the underarms, bikini, legs, face and other areas, and the long-pulse technology can treat a range of skin and hair types. Because hair grows in cycles, a course of around six sessions spaced a few weeks apart gives the most lasting reduction, with occasional top-ups afterwards.
About this treatment
Laser hair removal works by directing laser light at the melanin (pigment) in the hair, which converts to heat and disables the follicle's ability to regrow hair.
