About this treatment
Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket and is recommended only when a tooth cannot be restored or is causing problems — for instance because of extensive decay, a vertical fracture, advanced periodontal disease, or a wisdom tooth that is impacted or repeatedly inflamed. A simple extraction, used for a tooth that is fully erupted and accessible, is carried out under local anaesthetic and is priced at 400–600 zł at Klinika dr Gajda.
More complex situations are managed surgically: a surgical extraction (600–1,250 zł) may involve raising the gum or sectioning the tooth, while piezosurgery (1,000–2,000 zł) uses ultrasonic instruments that cut bone precisely while sparing soft tissue, which can be helpful for difficult roots or teeth close to important structures.
