About this treatment
A 3D cone-beam CT (CBCT) scan captures a three-dimensional volume of the jaws using a low-dose, focused X-ray, giving the dentist a far more complete picture than a flat two-dimensional radiograph. It reveals bone height, width and quality, the exact position of tooth roots, nerves and the sinuses, and the shape of impacted or buried teeth — information that is associated with safer, more predictable treatment planning.
