About this treatment
A crown is an individually made restoration that fits over the whole visible part of a tooth, used when a tooth is too broken down, cracked, heavily filled or weakened by root canal treatment to be restored with a simple filling. By encasing the tooth, a crown restores its natural shape and biting strength and protects the remaining structure from further damage, while a well-matched ceramic crown also improves how the tooth looks.
