About this treatment
An implant crown is the part of an implant restoration that you actually see and chew with. After a dental implant has been placed and has integrated with the jawbone, an abutment connects the implant to a custom-made crown that sits at gum level in place of the missing tooth. At Kamil Turek Stomatologia the crown is fabricated from zirconia, a strong, tooth-coloured ceramic, and seated on a titanium abutment for a durable, biocompatible result.
The process involves taking an impression or digital scan of the implant and the surrounding teeth so the crown can be milled to the correct shape, size and shade. Once ready, it is tried in, adjusted for a comfortable bite and fixed in place, either screwed or cemented depending on the case.
