Hyaluronic acid filler placed in the hollow of the tear trough to reduce the shadowed, sunken look beneath the eyes that can make the face appear tired. Using a soft filler delivered carefully with a cannula, the treatment smooths the transition between the lower eyelid and cheek. It suits adults whose under-eye hollowing is due to volume loss rather than puffiness or pigment alone.

About this treatment

The tear trough is the groove that runs from the inner corner of the eye along the orbital rim; as the area loses volume and the skin thins with age it can cast a shadow that reads as dark circles and tiredness even when you are well rested. Carefully placed hyaluronic acid filler restores a little volume to this hollow, smoothing the step between the lower lid and the cheek and softening the shadow.

The tear trough is a delicate, advanced area, so at Kamed Estetyka it is treated by a physician, typically using a soft, low-water-binding hyaluronic acid delivered with a blunt cannula to reduce the risk of bruising and to place the product precisely and conservatively. The procedure takes around twenty to thirty minutes; results are visible immediately and refine over one to two weeks as any initial swelling settles, and small bruises are possible.…
