Composite Veneers

Composite veneers are tooth-coloured resin restorations sculpted directly onto the front surface of the teeth to improve their shape, colour and alignment in a single visit. The dentist layers and shapes the resin by hand, smoothing chips, closing small gaps and brightening the smile with little or no removal of natural tooth. They are an affordable, same-day way to refresh the appearance of front teeth.

A composite veneer is a thin layer of tooth-coloured composite resin applied and shaped directly onto the front of a tooth to enhance its appearance. Working freehand, the dentist builds up the resin in layers, sculpting it to improve the tooth's shape, mask discolouration, repair chips or worn edges, and close small gaps, before curing and polishing it to a natural lustre. Because the work is done directly in the mouth, a composite veneer is usually completed in a single appointment and generally requires little or no reduction of the underlying natural tooth, making it a conservative and reversible aesthetic option.
