Gait diagnostics at K+Clinic combines RunTime treadmill sensor analysis with baropodometric pressure-plate measurements to assess the full kinetic chain during walking and running. The RunTime sensors capture dynamic ground reaction forces, timing asymmetries, and video mechanics from multiple angles, while the pressure plate maps plantar load distribution and foot arch behaviour — producing a comprehensive biomechanical picture that neither system delivers alone. A physiotherapist interprets the combined findings and prescribes a targeted intervention plan. Sessions are 55 minutes (1,700 Kč) or 25-minute follow-ups (1,000 Kč).
Isolated gait assessment tools each capture part of the movement picture: a pressure plate reveals how load is distributed across the foot, while video and force analysis shows how those loads translate through the ankle, knee, and hip during the full gait cycle. K+Clinic's gait diagnostics service combines both systems in a single assessment, producing complementary datasets that allow a more complete diagnosis of movement-related pain and injury risk. The session is structured in two phases. The baropodometric phase uses the clinic's pressure-plate to record static posture and dynamic walking-cycle foot pressure — generating a quantitative map of loading patterns, arch classification, left-right asymmetry, and balance centre-of-mass trajectory. The RunTime treadmill phase captures video from front, rear, and lateral views while force sensors record ground contact time, cadence, and loading symmetry — enabling the physiotherapist to see overpronation, knee valgus, Trendelenburg gait, trunk sway, and foot-strike pattern during actual walking and running. By integrating both data sets, the physiotherapist can distinguish whether a loading asymmetry originates from foot structure (flat foot, supinated arch) or from proximal muscle weakness (hip abductor insufficiency, core instability) driving compensatory gait patterns. This distinction is clinically important: structural issues may require orthotics, while proximal weakness responds to targeted strengthening. Gait diagnostics is particularly relevant for patients with recurring unilateral lower-limb pain (knee, hip, shin), runners with training-related injuries, post-ankle fracture or ligament repair rehabilitation, and athletes seeking performance optimisation. Children with gait abnormalities detected at school or by parents can also be assessed in this format.
