Microneedling (Dermapen)

Dermapen microneedling creates controlled micro-channels in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin, improving texture, fine lines, enlarged pores and acne scarring. An optional active serum ampoule can be driven into the skin during treatment for an added effect. A short course gives the best results, particularly for texture and scarring.

Microneedling with the Dermapen device uses a cluster of fine needles oscillating at high speed to create thousands of precise micro-channels in the skin. These tiny, controlled injuries trigger the body's natural wound-healing response, prompting fresh collagen and elastin production that firms the skin and refines its surface over the following weeks. The micro-channels also let active serums applied during treatment penetrate far more effectively, which is why the clinic offers an optional targeted ampoule add-on. At Jurenko Clinic the skin is cleansed and a numbing cream applied before treatment, which takes around thirty to forty-five minutes depending on the area. Expect redness similar to mild sunburn for 24–48 hours, after which the skin looks fresher and, over a few weeks, smoother and more even. Microneedling is well suited to uneven texture, enlarged pores, fine lines and mild-to-moderate acne scarring, and can be performed on the face, neck and décolleté. For the best results — particularly with scarring — a course of around three sessions spaced about four weeks apart is recommended. Strict sun protection afterwards is essential while the skin renews. The treatment is avoided over active acne or infection and during pregnancy; the physician confirms suitability and whether a serum ampoule is appropriate at consultation.
