JECT NYC offers Sofwave, a differentiated non-invasive ultrasound lifting device cleared by the FDA for lifting the brow, submental area, and neck, as well as for improving the appearance of cellulite and acne scars. Sofwave uses a proprietary technology called SUPERB (Synchronised UltrasouND Parallel Beam) — a system of seven parallel ultrasound transducers that simultaneously emit beams focused precisely at 1.5 mm depth in the reticular dermis. This depth targeting is distinct from HIFU platforms such as Ultraformer or Ultherapy, which typically focus at 4.5 mm (SMAS level) or 3.0 mm (deep dermis); Sofwave's 1.5 mm target creates thermal coagulation zones specifically within the mid-dermis where the majority of fibroblast-dense collagen-rich tissue resides, without requiring the energy to traverse deeper planes. The synchronised parallel beams create evenly distributed thermal injury at the target depth with a built-in superficial cooling mechanism that maintains the overlying epidermis below tissue-damaging temperature, making the treatment associated with low discomfort and no downtime. The collagen remodelling response stimulated at 1.5 mm is associated with progressive dermal thickening, skin surface lifting, and improved structural support over three to six months following the single-session protocol. FDA clearances include brow lifting, submental and neck tissue tightening and lifting, and improvement of cellulite appearance. JECT has also indicated Sofwave for acne scar texture improvement. The treatment is suitable for all skin tones including darker Fitzpatrick V–VI types, as the ultrasound energy does not interact with melanin and thus carries no hyperpigmentation risk. Results are associated with lasting approximately twelve months, with optional maintenance sessions thereafter.
