Photo-rejuvenation uses pulses of light to improve overall skin tone and texture, fading redness, sun damage and uneven pigment while encouraging a fresher, more even complexion. About this treatment
Photo-rejuvenation is a light-based skin treatment that addresses several signs of ageing and sun damage at once. Pulses of broad-spectrum light are absorbed by targets in the skin — particularly excess pigment and the tiny vessels behind redness — while the warmth delivered to the deeper skin is associated with stimulation of collagen. At JCTL the skin is cleansed and prepared before treatment, which takes around half an hour depending on the area. A cooling sensation and brief flashes of light are typical, and the treatment is generally comfortable with minimal downtime; pigmented spots may darken briefly before flaking away over the following days.
