Laser hair removal at JCTL targets the pigment in the hair follicle with laser energy to progressively reduce unwanted hair on the face and body. Because hair grows in cycles, a course of sessions spaced over time is needed to treat follicles during their active growth phase. About this treatment
Laser hair removal works by directing laser light at the melanin pigment within the hair, where the energy converts to heat and disables the follicle's ability to regrow hair. Because each follicle is only vulnerable during its active growth phase, and only a portion of hairs are in that phase at any time, the treatment is delivered as a course of sessions spaced several weeks apart so that successive cycles can be caught. At JCTL the area is cleansed and the laser parameters are set for your skin and hair before treatment, which can take from a few minutes for a small area such as the upper lip up to longer for large areas like the legs or back.
