Laser Skin Resurfacing (Lavieen Thulium Laser)

The Lavieen is a 1927 nm thulium laser that delivers energy into the upper layers of the skin to gently resurface its surface, encourage cell renewal and improve overall tone, texture and radiance, and is often used to address superficial pigmentation and dullness. By working in a fractional pattern it treats the skin in many small zones while leaving surrounding tissue to support faster recovery than older fully ablative resurfacing.

At JB Clinic the skin is cleansed and prepared before treatment, which takes around thirty to forty-five minutes for the face. Afterwards the skin typically feels warm and looks flushed, with mild swelling and a fine, sandpaper-like texture for a few days as it renews; most people return to normal activities quickly with diligent moisturising and sun protection.
