Dr Ivor J. Lim's breast surgery practice covers the full spectrum of aesthetic and reconstructive breast procedures. Breast augmentation (enlargement) uses high-quality silicone gel implants positioned via incisions placed in the inframammary fold, around the areola, or transaxillary, with implant placement either subpectoral or subfascial depending on the patient's anatomy and goals. Breast lift (mastopexy) elevates a ptotic breast mound and repositions the nipple-areola complex to a youthful position, using a range of scar patterns (periareolar, vertical, or inverted-T) calibrated to the degree of ptosis. Breast reduction for women addresses macromastia — large, heavy breasts causing back pain, skin irritation, and postural problems — and is performed through hidden incisions to remove excess glandular tissue, fat, and skin while reshaping the breast and repositioning the nipple. Male breast reduction (gynaecomastia surgery) reduces enlarged male breast tissue through a combination of liposuction and direct gland excision, achieving a flatter, more masculine chest contour. All procedures are performed under general anaesthesia in an accredited facility, with recovery typically 2–4 weeks depending on the procedure.
