About this treatment
The Rehydrate IV is IV Health's foundational hydration treatment — isotonic saline (sodium chloride 0.9%) with electrolytes delivered directly into the bloodstream. When you drink water orally, absorption through the gut takes time and depends on intestinal health. IV rehydration works immediately, restoring blood volume and electrolyte balance within the session.
Dehydration impairs virtually every physiological system — cardiovascular output drops, cognitive function declines, kidney filtration slows, and exercise performance deteriorates. Even mild dehydration (1-2% body weight loss) can cause headaches, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating.
This drip is the simplest and fastest in the IV Health menu, taking approximately 20 to 35 minutes. It is popular after intense exercise, during heat waves, after travel (particularly long flights), during illness with vomiting or diarrhoea, and as a base infusion before adding vitamin boosters.
