IV Liver Support
Type
IV Vitamin Therapy
Duration
40 min
An intravenous infusion supporting the liver's detoxification pathways with antioxidants, B vitamins, and hepatoprotective nutrients. The liver processes and neutralises toxins, metabolises medications, and produces bile for fat digestion. This drip delivers the co-factors these pathways depend on at concentrations oral supplements cannot match.
The Liver Support IV delivers nutrients involved in Phase I and Phase II hepatic detoxification. Phase I (cytochrome P450 enzymes) converts fat-soluble toxins into intermediate metabolites, while Phase II (conjugation pathways including glutathione conjugation, sulfation, and glucuronidation) renders them water-soluble for excretion. Both phases require specific co-factors — B vitamins, antioxidants, and amino acid precursors — to function efficiently. When these nutrients are insufficient, intermediate metabolites from Phase I can accumulate and cause oxidative damage. Supporting both phases simultaneously helps maintain balanced detoxification. The formulation may include glutathione precursors, N-acetyl cysteine (NAC), B vitamins, and vitamin C. Glutathione is the body's most abundant intracellular antioxidant and is central to Phase II conjugation. NAC is its direct precursor and also supports liver cell integrity. The infusion takes approximately 30 to 50 minutes. It is popular after periods of dietary excess, alcohol consumption, medication use, or as part of a regular liver health maintenance protocol. All formulations are reviewed during the initial consultation to ensure they align with the client's medical history.
