Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty at ISCARE Praha 9 surgically reduces or reshapes enlarged or asymmetric labia minora to relieve physical discomfort during exercise or intercourse, or to address aesthetic concerns. Performed by MUDr. Alexander Vatľak at 22,500 Kč, the procedure uses a trim or wedge technique under local or general anaesthesia and is completed within approximately one hour.

Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that modifies the labia minora — the inner folds of the vulva — by reducing their size, correcting asymmetry, or altering their shape. At ISCARE Klinické centrum, the procedure is performed by MUDr. Alexander Vatľak in a private, discreet clinical setting at the Prague 9 facility. Common reasons patients seek labiaplasty include: chronic discomfort or chafing during exercise, cycling, or sexual activity caused by enlarged or elongated labia minora; difficulty with hygiene; self-consciousness during physical intimacy; and aesthetic preferences. Candidates are adult women with stable anatomy (not recommended during or shortly after pregnancy). The pre-operative consultation with MUDr. Vatľak covers the patient's concerns and goals, physical examination, and surgical planning. Two main techniques are available: the trim method (direct excision of the labia edge, leaving a straight scar along the new labial border — fast and predictable) and the wedge technique (V-shaped excision preserving the natural labial border and more natural-looking final edge — preferred for aesthetics). The appropriate technique is discussed and agreed at consultation. The procedure takes approximately 45–60 minutes. It can be performed under local anaesthesia with sedation or light general anaesthesia depending on patient preference. Absorbable sutures are used, requiring no removal appointment. Post-operative swelling and bruising are typical and resolve within 2–4 weeks. Patients can return to desk work within 3–5 days; sexual activity and vigorous exercise are restricted for 6 weeks. At ISCARE, confidentiality is maintained throughout the care pathway. The clinic operates under an independent Ethical Commission and all patient data is protected under Czech healthcare privacy law.
