Thread Lift — Mezonit & Aptos

ILK offers thread lifting with two distinct systems: absorbable Mezonit threads for localised lifting and collagen stimulation, and Aptos Nite 3D barbed threads for a more comprehensive mini-facelift effect. Mezonit threads are inserted via thin needles and stimulate a gradual collagen envelope around each thread as they dissolve over 6–8 months, maintaining lift. Aptos Nite threads have counter-directional hooks cut into their surface that anchor tissue mechanically, providing stronger and more sustained lifting for ptotic facial tissue. Both procedures take approximately 30 minutes under local anaesthetic and produce an immediate visible improvement with zero required recovery time.

Thread lifting at ILK uses two technologies suited to different degrees of facial sagging and patient goals. Mezonit threads are absorbable sutures made from polydioxanone (PDO) or similar biopolymers. Inserted via a fine needle without incision, they pass through the subcutaneous tissue below the sagging facial structure. As the threads dissolve over 6–8 months, they stimulate a fibrous collagen envelope around their path — effectively creating a new collagenous scaffold that maintains the lift even after the thread itself has been absorbed. Multiple threads (typically 3–8 per zone) are placed in a fan pattern to address the brow, cheek, jawline, or neck. A single Mezonit thread is priced from 3,000 Kč; full-face treatment requiring 10–20 threads is priced accordingly. Aptos Nite threads are non-absorbable or long-duration sutures with 3D counter-directional barbs cut into their surface. When inserted and positioned, the bidirectional hooks engage with the surrounding connective tissue from both ends, creating a hammock-like mechanical suspension that physically repositions the ptotic tissue. Aptos Nite mini-facelift is suitable from around age 30 for patients with significant but not severe tissue descent, and the treatment is priced from 21,000 Kč for the full procedure. Both thread types are inserted under local anaesthetic and the procedure takes approximately 30 minutes for a full-face treatment. The immediate effect is visible at the end of the session — the tissue is physically elevated; some mild puffiness may be present for 2–3 days. No incisions are made and no suture removal is needed. Results of Mezonit threading last 12–18 months; Aptos Nite can last up to 2 years. Suitable from age 30 onwards; patients with severe skin laxity may be better served by surgical intervention.
