Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing

Type

Laser

Duration

30 min

What's included

4 deliverables in this treatment

  • Physician consultation (300 Kč) with treatment zone mapping
  • Optional topical anaesthetic cream application
  • Fractional CO2 laser session across the selected area
  • Post-procedure vaseline moisturiser and recovery instructions

ILK's fractional CO2 laser creates a grid of 48 microscopic ablation columns per cm² across the skin, removing damaged epidermal and superficial dermal tissue while leaving surrounding skin intact to accelerate healing. Each pass takes 20–40 minutes depending on the area; the fractional approach means only a fraction of the surface is treated at any given time, dramatically reducing the recovery compared with fully ablative CO2 resurfacing. The laser addresses wrinkles, acne scarring, skin laxity, uneven texture, deep perioral lines, and scar correction. Redness persists for 3–5 days post-treatment as the microcolumns heal and the surrounding untreated tissue drives rapid re-epithelialisation.

About this treatment

Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing at ILK uses a medical-grade CO2 laser system configured in fractional mode, meaning the beam is delivered through a scanner that distributes energy across 48 microscopic columns per square centimetre rather than ablating the entire surface uniformly. Each micro-column ablates through the full epidermis and into the papillary dermis at the treatment site; the surrounding untreated tissue remains intact and provides the…
