Chemical Peel — Filorga Protocol

ILK uses the Filorga medical peel system — an 18-ingredient synergistic formula applied in four structured steps: preparation, controlled acid exfoliation, neutralisation, and restoration. The 4-step protocol ensures the peel acts at the correct pH throughout application and is properly neutralised before the restoration phase begins. Performed by Mgr. Martina Nezbedová, the Filorga peel is available in mild and deep variants depending on the degree of exfoliation needed. A full course of 3–5 sessions at 1-week intervals is recommended for skin brightening, wrinkle reduction, pigmentation correction, pore refinement, and acne scar improvement.

The Filorga chemical peel at ILK is a medical-grade, multi-ingredient peeling system formulated with 18 synergistic active components. Unlike single-acid peels (pure TCA or glycolic acid), the Filorga formula combines multiple exfoliating and regenerative agents to achieve broader spectrum activity — different acids act at different skin depths and on different chromophores, while restorative ingredients in the formula begin supporting barrier repair from the moment the neutralisation step begins. The 4-step protocol — preparation, exfoliation, neutralisation, restoration — is structurally different from simpler peel protocols because it includes the neutralisation step as an active clinical phase rather than a passive washoff: the neutralising agent is precisely applied to stop acid activity at the intended depth, preventing inadvertent over-penetration. The final restoration step deposits soothing and barrier-supportive actives onto the freshly exfoliated skin, accelerating recovery and reducing post-procedure sensitivity. Performed by Mgr. Martina Nezbedová, ILK's cosmetology lead, sessions take approximately 10 minutes of active peel time. The mild variant produces superficial epidermal exfoliation with minimal visible peeling and is suitable for sensitive or first-time patients, or as a maintenance treatment. The deep variant creates more pronounced exfoliation with a few days of visible skin flaking, producing more significant improvement in wrinkle depth, pigmentation clarity, and surface texture. A full course of 3–5 sessions spaced 1 week apart delivers cumulative benefit as each session builds on the previous cellular renewal cycle. Two courses per year sustain the results. Primary indications include skin brightening, fine-line reduction, pigmentation spot treatment (melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, freckles), pore refinement, and superficial acne scarring.
