Liposuction

Liposuction permanently removes localised fat deposits that resist diet and exercise — abdomen, hips, thighs, knees, arms or chin — sculpting a smoother body contour. Prim. MUDr. Inka Třešková performs single or multi-area liposuction under general anaesthesia at FN Plzeň, with a smaller chin-liposuction option available under local anaesthesia without hospitalisation.

Liposuction targets the subcutaneous fat compartments that hold their volume regardless of weight loss — typically the lower abdomen, flanks, outer and inner thighs, knees, upper arms, and the submental (double-chin) area. Through incisions of only a few millimetres, a thin cannula breaks up and aspirates the fat layer evenly, reducing its thickness while preserving a smooth transition to surrounding zones. Because adult fat-cell numbers are relatively fixed, the removed cells do not return; with stable weight, the new contour is long-lasting. The practice prices liposuction transparently by treatment area: one area from 32,000 Kč, two areas from 34,000 Kč, and three areas from 36,000 Kč — performed under general anaesthesia (included in the price) with an overnight stay at FN Plzeň billed per the hospital tariff. Removal of a double chin by liposuction is offered as a smaller stand-alone procedure (from 16,000 Kč) under local anaesthesia with same-day discharge. A compression garment is worn for several weeks to support skin retraction and minimise swelling. Most patients return to work within days to a week depending on the extent; sport resumes after four to six weeks. The definitive contour appears over two to three months as swelling fully resolves. Liposuction is a contouring procedure, not a weight-loss method — the best candidates are at or near a stable weight with good skin elasticity.
