About this treatment
Lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid is one of the most requested aesthetic treatments — and one where the injector's aesthetic judgement matters most. Naturally beautiful results come from respecting lip anatomy: enhancing the vermilion border for definition, supporting the cupid's bow, balancing the upper-to-lower lip ratio, and adding volume where the lip is genuinely deflated rather than uniformly inflating it.
At this practice, lips are treated by a board-certified plastic surgeon whose stated philosophy is helping clients preserve their natural beauty — an approach reflected in conservative, structure-led lip work. HA fillers used for lips are soft, flexible gels designed to move naturally with speech and expression, and most contain lidocaine for comfort; a numbing cream can be applied beforehand.
The treatment takes around 20–30 minutes. Lips swell noticeably for 24–72 hours after injection — the immediate post-treatment size is not the final result, which settles within two weeks. Results last roughly 6–12 months as the HA is gradually metabolised, after which the treatment can be repeated or adjusted. Because HA is dissolvable with hyaluronidase, the procedure is fully reversible.

Preparation required
Avoid blood thinners, aspirin, and alcohol for 48 hours before to reduce bruising. Postpone treatment if you have an active cold sore — HA injections can trigger reactivation. Avoid sauna, intense exercise, and pressure on the lips for 48 hours after.
