A facelift surgically tightens sagging skin and deeper facial tissues of the lower face and neck, smoothing jowls and restoring a defined jawline for a result that injectables cannot achieve. Prim. MUDr. Inka Třešková performs the operation under general anaesthesia at FN Plzeň university hospital with inpatient recovery.
About this treatment
As facial ageing progresses, skin laxity, descent of the deep soft tissues, and loss of jawline definition reach a point where fillers and energy-based treatments can no longer compensate. A facelift (rhytidectomy) addresses the structural problem directly: through incisions concealed around the ear and hairline, the skin and the deeper SMAS tissue layer are lifted and re-suspended, excess skin is removed, and the lower face and neck are restored to a…
Dr Třešková's approach prioritises a natural, rested look over an over-tightened one — consistent with her stated philosophy of helping clients preserve their natural beauty long-term. At the free consultation she assesses skin quality, the degree of jowling and neck laxity, and discusses the appropriate extent of the lift, including whether to combine it with eyelid surgery or fat transfer for a balanced result.
The operation is performed under general anaesthesia (included) in the FN Plzeň theatres, followed by an overnight inpatient stay billed per the hospital tariff. Swelling and bruising largely settle within two to three weeks; most patients feel socially presentable after 2–3 weeks, with final refinement over several months. Results typically last 8–12 years.
