Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

A breast lift (mastopexy, modelace prsou) restores a firmer, higher breast shape after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss or age-related sagging — without changing breast volume. Prim. MUDr. Inka Třešková reshapes the breast tissue, removes excess skin and repositions the nipple-areola complex under general anaesthesia at FN Plzeň. Breast ptosis — sagging caused by pregnancy, breastfeeding, significant weight change, or simple ageing — cannot be corrected by exercise or creams, because the issue is stretched skin and descended glandular tissue. Mastopexy surgically lifts and re-anchors the breast: excess skin is removed, the internal tissue is reshaped into a firmer cone, and the nipple-areola complex is moved up to a youthful position (and reduced in diameter if desired). At the free consultation, Dr Třešková assesses the degree of ptosis and discusses whether a lift alone will achieve the goal or whether combining it with a small implant or fat transfer would better restore upper-pole fullness. The incision pattern (periareolar, lollipop, or anchor) depends on how much skin must be removed. The operation is performed under general anaesthesia (included) in the FN Plzeň theatres with an overnight inpatient stay billed per the hospital tariff. A supportive compression bra is worn for several weeks; most patients are back at work within a week and resume sport after about six weeks. The result is a naturally lifted, firmer breast contour with scars that fade substantially over the first year.
