Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

Abdominoplasty removes the loose, overhanging skin and fat of the lower abdomen and tightens the abdominal wall — typically after pregnancy or major weight loss — restoring a flat, firm abdominal profile. Prim. MUDr. Inka Třešková performs the operation under general anaesthesia at FN Plzeň university hospital, often combined with liposuction of the flanks for a complete contour.

After pregnancy or substantial weight loss, the abdominal skin is often permanently overstretched and the paired rectus muscles separated at the midline (diastasis recti) — changes no amount of exercise can reverse. Abdominoplasty corrects both: through a low horizontal incision concealed within the bikini line, the excess skin and fat apron is removed, the separated abdominal muscles are sutured back together to restore a firm core, and the navel is repositioned to its natural site.
