Porcelain Veneer (Full Ceramic)

Veneers are thin, custom-made ceramic shells bonded to the front of the teeth to improve their colour, shape, alignment and proportions. They are used to close small gaps, mask discolouration, reshape worn or uneven edges and create a brighter, more even smile, with shade and form planned with the patient before the porcelain is made.

Porcelain veneers are wafer-thin laminates of dental ceramic bonded to the visible surface of the front teeth to refine their appearance. They are a cornerstone of cosmetic dentistry and are associated with improvements in tooth colour, shape, length and minor alignment without the more extensive preparation a crown requires. A minimal amount of enamel may be prepared, an impression or scan is taken, and the veneers are fabricated and then bonded individually with attention to a seamless margin at the gum line. Because each veneer is custom-made, colour and translucency are matched so the result blends with the rest of the smile, or several veneers are made together for a coordinated makeover of the front teeth. Full-ceramic materials are associated with a natural, light-reflecting appearance and resistance to staining.
