The crown is the visible tooth-shaped restoration fixed onto a healed implant to complete the tooth replacement. At InDent these are made as full-ceramic, zirconia or metal-ceramic crowns and attached to the implant via a titanium connector. Full-ceramic crowns are chosen for front teeth where appearance matters most, while metal-ceramic offers a more economical option. Shade and shape are matched to the surrounding teeth for a natural result.

About this treatment

Once a dental implant has integrated with the jawbone, it is restored with a crown — the part you see and chew with. The process involves taking a precise impression or digital scan of the implant and the surrounding teeth, after which the crown is fabricated to match the colour, shape and bite of your natural dentition. A temporary CAD/CAM crown can be provided in the interim where needed.
