Implant Crown (Full Ceramic)

Type

Crowns & Bridges

Duration

1 hour

The crown is the visible tooth-shaped restoration fixed onto a healed implant to complete the tooth replacement. At InDent these are made as full-ceramic, zirconia or metal-ceramic crowns and attached to the implant via a titanium connector. Full-ceramic crowns are chosen for front teeth where appearance matters most, while metal-ceramic offers a more economical option. Shade and shape are matched to the surrounding teeth for a natural result.

Once a dental implant has integrated with the jawbone, it is restored with a crown — the part you see and chew with. At InDent the implant crown is connected to the fixture using a titanium abutment (connector), and the crown itself can be made from full ceramic, zirconia or metal-ceramic depending on the position in the mouth and aesthetic priorities. Full-ceramic and zirconia crowns transmit light in a way that is associated with a more natural appearance, which is why they are commonly chosen for visible front teeth, while metal-ceramic crowns remain a robust and more affordable choice for back teeth. The process involves taking a precise impression or digital scan of the implant and the surrounding teeth, after which the crown is fabricated to match the colour, shape and bite of your natural dentition. A temporary CAD/CAM crown can be provided in the interim where needed. When the final crown is ready it is fitted and adjusted so it meets the opposing teeth comfortably and cleans easily around the implant. The clinic prices the connector, the crown and any temporary restoration as separate line items, so the cost reflects exactly what your case requires. A well-made implant crown, combined with good hygiene and regular check-ups, is associated with restoring comfortable chewing and a complete smile. Material choice and shade are agreed with the dentist before fabrication.
