illumia Medical offers two complementary medical scalp programmes developed in partnership with Papilla Haircare: the illumia Hair Regeneration Pro and the illumia Hair Regrowth Program. The Hair Regeneration Pro is a regenerative medicine procedure using the patient's own scalp tissue. Micrografts are extracted from the donor area, processed under clinical conditions to isolate stem cells, growth factors, and progenitor cells, and then injected into zones of thinning or hair loss. This autologous approach minimises rejection risk and harnesses the body's own regenerative biology to stimulate dormant follicles and encourage new hair growth. Sessions typically last one to two hours. The Hair Regrowth Program takes a complementary approach using a stem cell-derived exosome or growth factor solution, delivered via precision micro-injections to dormant follicle sites across the scalp. The bioactive agents — including proteins and growth factors that activate dermal papilla cells — extend follicle lifespan, reduce scalp inflammation, and promote neovascularisation (new blood vessel formation) to improve nutrient delivery to follicles.
