Composite Filling (Light-Cured)

A composite (white) filling restores a tooth affected by decay or minor damage using a tooth-coloured resin that is bonded in place and hardened with a curing light. For more extensively broken teeth the clinic can place a glass-fibre post and build up a core before a filling or crown.

Composite fillings are the everyday treatment for teeth affected by decay, small fractures or worn old fillings. At Idental Clinique the decayed or damaged tissue is removed, the cavity is cleaned, and a tooth-coloured composite resin is bonded to the tooth in layers and set hard with a curing light, then shaped and polished so it blends with the natural tooth and restores normal biting. Because the resin is matched to the tooth's shade, white fillings are far less visible than older silver amalgam, making them suitable for both front and back teeth. The price of 250–550 zł reflects how large the cavity is and how many tooth surfaces are involved. For teeth that are more substantially broken down — for example after a large old filling fails or a cusp fractures — the clinic offers reinforcing options such as a glass-fibre post (600 zł) cemented into a root-treated tooth, or a fibre-based core reconstruction (500 zł), which rebuild enough structure to support a filling or, where coverage is needed, a crown. Composite restorations are associated with conserving healthy tooth structure compared with more extensive options, and their longevity is supported by good hygiene and limiting habits that chip teeth. The dentist assesses each tooth and advises when a simple filling is appropriate and when a larger restoration such as an inlay, onlay or crown would give a more durable result.
