Breast Reduction

Breast reduction surgery at Klinika Leticia in Brno, performed by MUDr. Petr Hýža, Ph.D. under general anaesthesia. Excess breast tissue, gland, fat and skin are removed; the nipple and areola are reduced and repositioned. The procedure relieves physical symptoms such as back pain, neck strain, bra-strap grooving and postural headaches associated with large breasts. Pricing starts from 90,000 Kč; nipple reduction alone from 40,000 Kč.

Large breasts can cause chronic back and neck pain, skin irritation under the breast fold, bra-strap grooving and difficulty exercising. Reduction mammaplasty at Klinika Leticia removes the excess tissue through an anchor or lollipop scar pattern depending on the volume removed, and simultaneously reduces and repositions the nipple and areola. Breastfeeding ability may be affected and this is discussed at consultation. Eligibility requires: age 18+, BMI ≤30, non-smoking or willingness to stop before surgery, no diabetes or serious systemic conditions, and that breast growth is complete. Post-operatively, a compression bra is worn for 4 weeks; patients return to light daily activities in the first week, light exercise from 3–6 weeks and full sports from 6 weeks. Final results are visible when swelling fully resolves, typically over 3–6 months.
