About this treatment
Large breasts can cause chronic back and neck pain, skin irritation under the breast fold, bra-strap grooving and difficulty exercising. Reduction mammaplasty at Klinika Leticia removes the excess tissue through an anchor or lollipop scar pattern depending on the volume removed, and simultaneously reduces and repositions the nipple and areola. Breastfeeding ability may be affected and this is discussed at consultation.
Eligibility requires: age 18+, BMI ≤30, non-smoking or willingness to stop before surgery, no diabetes or serious systemic conditions, and that breast growth is complete. Post-operatively, a compression bra is worn for 4 weeks; patients return to light daily activities in the first week, light exercise from 3–6 weeks and full sports from 6 weeks. Final results are visible when swelling fully resolves, typically over 3–6 months.
