Comprehensive Internal Medicine Health Check

Type

Full Body Checkup

Duration

2 hours

A complete internal medicine preventive examination at Homolka Premium Care inside Na Homolce Hospital — all the core diagnostic tests and physician time packed into two one-hour sessions. The package covers a full blood panel (liver, renal, metabolic, lipid, cholesterol, CBC, inflammatory markers, thyroid, urinalysis, PSA for men), ECG, abdominal ultrasound of six organs, stool occult blood test, and a comprehensive physician consultation with written summary and lifestyle recommendations. At 15,990 Kč for the full programme, it provides hospital-grade diagnostic depth without a membership commitment. Well suited to people seeking a baseline health snapshot or a structured annual check outside the public system's waiting times.

The Jednorázová Interní Prevence at Homolka Premium Care is the standalone version of the annual preventive examination included in the ROYAL membership — the same comprehensive diagnostic protocol, without the ongoing subscription. It is designed for clients who want a rigorous health baseline or annual check on a one-off basis. **Examination protocol — two sessions:** Day 1 (~1 hour): - Venous blood draw for the full laboratory battery (see panel scope below). Samples are processed at Na Homolce Hospital's clinical laboratory, which operates to hospital accreditation standards. - Abdominal ultrasound: real-time imaging of liver (parenchymal structure, focal lesions), gallbladder (stones, wall thickness), bile ducts (dilatation, obstruction), pancreas (head and body), spleen (size, echogenicity) and both kidneys (cortical thickness, hydronephrosis, stones). Performed by the attending HPC physician using hospital-grade ultrasound equipment. - Stool occult blood test: two-sample immunochemical test for colorectal cancer screening. Sample pots are provided at Day 1 and returned before Day 2. Day 2 (~1 hour): - 12-lead ECG recording: electrodes placed on chest and limbs; the trace is recorded at rest and interpreted by the physician with attention to rate, rhythm, conduction abnormalities, ST changes and QT interval. - Comprehensive physical examination: cardiovascular and respiratory auscultation, abdominal palpation, lymph node assessment, blood pressure (both arms), BMI, abdominal circumference. - Family history and risk assessment: standardised questioning covering first-degree relatives' history of cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and neurological conditions to stratify long-term risk. - Results consultation: all laboratory, ultrasound and ECG findings discussed with the attending physician in a structured appointment. No results are sent by post without explanation. - Written summary: a formal report summarising all findings, risk factors, and personalised follow-up recommendations delivered in writing at or immediately after the consultation. **Blood panel scope:** Liver function: ALT, AST, GGT, bilirubin (total and direct), ALP. Biliary markers: as above plus gamma-GT. Renal function: serum creatinine, urea, eGFR calculation. Metabolic panel: fasting glucose, HbA1c where clinically indicated. Lipid panel: total cholesterol, LDL-C, HDL-C, triglycerides, non-HDL-C, atherogenic index. Full blood count (CBC): haemoglobin, haematocrit, red cells, white cell differential, platelets, MCV, MCH, MCHC. Inflammatory markers: ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), CRP (C-reactive protein). Thyroid function: TSH, free T4 (fT4), free T3 (fT3) where indicated. Urinalysis: dipstick and microscopy. PSA (prostate-specific antigen): in male clients. **Who benefits:** This package is suited to adults who have never had a structured comprehensive blood and organ assessment, those who want a detailed snapshot outside public system constraints, individuals with a family history of metabolic disease, cardiovascular conditions or cancer seeking to establish a baseline, and expats or foreign nationals who lack a regular Czech GP relationship but hold valid Czech health insurance. It is also commonly used as a one-off assessment before committing to the annual ROYAL membership — the result gives both client and physician a full picture from which to start personalised preventive planning. **After the examination:** Follow-up management is the client's responsibility — as a one-time examination the clinic does not provide ongoing GP care. However, if findings warrant specialist review, the attending physician provides written referral documentation. Clients who proceed to ROYAL membership have their examination results automatically incorporated into their ongoing care record.
