HMI Medical operates a Siemens MAGNETOM Lumina 3 Tesla MRI system at its Farrer Park Medical Centre — one of the most clinically advanced MRI platforms available in a private outpatient setting in Singapore. The 3T field strength delivers magnetic signal intensity four times greater than a standard 1.5T scanner, enabling sharper images with finer anatomical detail, shorter scan times, and enhanced sensitivity for detecting subtle pathology. The MAGNETOM Lumina is optimised for a broad diagnostic range. Neurological applications include brain tumour detection, stroke evaluation, demyelinating disease assessment, and neurodegenerative condition workup. Musculoskeletal scanning covers joint pathology (rotator cuff, meniscal tears, ligament injuries), spinal disc disease, and bone marrow evaluation.
