DEXA Body Composition & Bone Density Scan

This combined scan extends the standard body composition DEXA by adding bone mineral density (BMD) measurement at the lumbar spine and proximal femur — the two sites most commonly assessed for osteoporosis and fracture risk. The result is a T-score that compares the individual's bone density against a young-adult reference population, following the WHO diagnostic criteria for osteopenia and osteoporosis.
