Brain MRI + MR Angiography

Combined brain MRI with intracranial MR angiography on the MAGNETOM Sola 1.5T. Maps cerebral arteries alongside parenchymal assessment for comprehensive neurovascular evaluation in one session.

This combined examination pairs the standard multi-sequence brain MRI protocol with time-of-flight MR angiography of the intracranial arteries. The brain component assesses parenchymal structures while the angiographic sequences visualise the circle of Willis, anterior, middle, and posterior cerebral arteries, and the vertebrobasilar system. At approximately EUR 155 for both components, this package is significantly cheaper than separate bookings and substantially below typical Western European pricing for combined neurovascular MRI. The study is indicated for patients with thunderclap headache, family history of intracranial aneurysm, transient ischaemic attacks, or symptoms requiring simultaneous structural and vascular exclusion. An MR venography (MRV) component can be added for patients where cerebral venous sinus thrombosis is a clinical concern, bringing the combined brain + MRA + MRV study to approximately EUR 182. The MAGNETOM Sola's BioMatrix technology ensures consistent signal-to-noise across the entire field of view.
