About this treatment
Hyperhidrosis — sweating beyond what the body needs for temperature regulation — affects roughly 1–3% of people and can be socially and professionally limiting: soaked shirts in meetings, slippery palms when shaking hands, or sweat-damaged shoes. When antiperspirants fail, BTX injection is the established, evidence-supported next step recommended in dermatological guidelines.
How it works
Botulinum toxin blocks the release of acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter that activates the eccrine sweat glands. Injected intradermally in a grid of small doses across the affected area, it switches off sweat production locally — without affecting the body's overall ability to thermoregulate, as the treated areas represent a tiny fraction of total sweat glands.

Preparation required
Shave underarms 24–48 hours before treatment (not on the day). Avoid blood thinners and alcohol 24 hours before. Wear loose clothing. For palm or sole treatment, plan light hand/foot use for the rest of the day.
