Duration

A comprehensive preventive health screening measuring over 25 biomarkers from blood and urine samples, covering cardiovascular risk, kidney and liver function, thyroid status, diabetes markers, and inflammatory indicators. Includes biometric measurements, a lifestyle questionnaire, and a personalised Health Report with risk analysis and recommendations.
The Personal Health Check is Healthlab's core offering and represents one of the most accessible entry points to preventive screening in Amsterdam. The panel draws from both venous blood and urine to assess over 25 discrete biomarkers spanning the body's major organ systems, providing a broad baseline that can reveal early warning signs before symptoms develop. The cardiovascular component measures total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, and the cholesterol-to-HDL ratio alongside blood pressure and resting heart rate. Kidney function is evaluated through creatinine, GFR, and urinary protein and erythrocyte levels. Liver health is screened via ALAT, while thyroid status is assessed through TSH. Diabetes risk is quantified using HbA1c (a three-month blood sugar average) and urine glucose. Haematological markers including haemoglobin, MCV, haematocrit, and platelet count round out the blood picture, and CRP provides a general inflammation reading. Beyond the laboratory analysis, the check includes biometric measurements and a lifestyle assessment questionnaire. Results are compiled into a personalised Health Report that contextualises each marker, highlights any values outside the reference range, and provides targeted recommendations. If abnormalities are detected, a physician consultation is included at no additional cost. The entire appointment takes 15 to 30 minutes, and reports are typically delivered within three to five business days in English or Dutch.
