The Executive/VIP Health Check extends Healthlab's standard Personal Health Check into a substantially more thorough examination that goes well beyond blood and urine analysis. While the standard check provides an excellent biomarker-based overview, this premium tier adds functional and sensory assessments that capture dimensions of health that bloodwork alone cannot reveal. The cardiac component includes a resting ECG to assess heart rhythm and electrical conduction, plus a bicycle ergometer exercise stress test that evaluates cardiac response under controlled physical exertion — the gold standard for detecting exercise-induced ischaemia and assessing cardiovascular fitness. Spirometry measures lung capacity and airflow, which can identify early obstructive or restrictive patterns. Audiometry and a vision test screen two sensory systems that decline gradually and often go unnoticed until significant deterioration has occurred. The laboratory component is also expanded beyond the standard panel: the liver assessment moves beyond the single ALAT marker to a full hepatic function profile, and the kidney panel is similarly extended. Vitamin D is added — a marker that is frequently deficient in northern European populations, particularly during the darker months. PSA testing for prostate screening is available for men by clinical indication. This check is positioned for professionals and executives who want the most comprehensive single-session assessment available, and for individuals over 40 who want to combine routine bloodwork with functional cardiac and respiratory evaluation. The appointment takes approximately 60 minutes and is only available at the Amsterdam IJburg flagship location, where the necessary equipment for ECG and exercise testing is installed.
