About this treatment
Rabies is present in Thailand and is effectively always fatal once symptoms appear, which is why it is treated with more urgency than any other vaccine-preventable disease. Who is this for?
Long-stay residents, outdoor exercisers, animal workers — and anyone bitten, scratched or licked on broken skin by a mammal.

Preparation required
After a bite: wash the wound with soap and running water for 15 minutes and attend the same day. Bring details of the animal and any previous rabies vaccination — it changes the schedule.
