Polynucleotide treatment with Polyphil® (Croma) is an injectable regenerative treatment that works through several pathways: the polynucleotides bind water to improve skin hydration, they are intended to stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, and they provide an antioxidant effect that may help protect skin against environmental stress. At Hautzentrum Berlin the treatment is used to address fine lines on the face, neck and décolleté, loss of elasticity and firmness, tired-looking or sun-affected skin, the delicate eye area, and the appearance of acne scars and stretch marks. Each session takes roughly 20–40 minutes and is performed on an outpatient basis; downtime is minimal, with most people socially presentable straight away and any minor redness or swelling usually resolving within one to two days. The practice typically recommends a course of two to three sessions spaced two to four weeks apart, with maintenance treatments every six to twelve months. Light improvements may be visible within days, while the fuller effect develops over several weeks as the skin's regenerative processes are supported.
