Ablative fractional resurfacing with an Erbium:YAG 2940nm laser to renew the skin's surface and stimulate collagen, improving texture, fine lines, photoageing and scarring. The laser treats the skin in microscopic columns so it renews faster than fully ablative resurfacing. It can be focused on the whole face, neck, décolleté, eye area or specific acne and surgical scars, and works best as a planned treatment with proper aftercare.
About this treatment
Fractional resurfacing uses an Erbium:YAG laser at 2940nm — a wavelength strongly absorbed by water in the skin — to precisely remove the outermost damaged layers in a grid of microscopic columns while leaving bridges of intact skin between them. The skin is cleansed and numbed before treatment, which takes around thirty to forty-five minutes for the face.
