Screen Signature is Gleneagles Hospital's comprehensive mid-to-high tier executive health screening programme, incorporating organ-level ultrasound imaging of the abdomen and pelvis in addition to all prior blood, cardiac, and gender-specific tests. The abdominal ultrasound assesses the liver for fatty infiltration and lesions, the gallbladder for gallstones, the kidneys for cysts and structural abnormalities, the pancreas, and the spleen — organs that frequently show early pathology before symptoms arise. The pelvic ultrasound evaluates the bladder and, in female clients, the uterus and ovaries for fibroids, cysts, or other gynaecological abnormalities. Male clients receive a focused abdominal and bladder assessment at this stage. Bone mineral density (BMD) testing — using DEXA technology — is offered as a selectable component at the Screen Signature level, making this package the entry point for osteoporosis screening at Gleneagles. DEXA provides a T-score for the lumbar spine and hip, the two sites most clinically predictive of fracture risk, and results are reviewed alongside the physician consultation so that lifestyle and pharmacological interventions can be discussed the same day. For patients with a family history of osteoporosis, those on long-term corticosteroids, or post-menopausal women, the BMD add-on at this tier is particularly valuable.
