The Screen Elite package is Gleneagles Hospital's foundational executive health screening programme, designed for adults who want a comprehensive annual medical assessment without necessarily requiring advanced imaging. The package opens with a full clinical examination conducted by a physician, covering vital signs, cardiovascular auscultation, abdominal palpation, and a review of personal and family medical history. Blood testing spans an essential metabolic panel — full blood count, liver function, renal function, fasting glucose, and lipid profile — alongside a disease screening panel that checks for hepatitis B surface antigen and antibody, hepatitis C antibody, and syphilis serology. Tumour markers are included, providing a broad oncology screen relevant to the patient's age and gender. A urinalysis with microscopy assesses kidney and bladder health. Cardiac screening includes a resting 12-lead electrocardiogram to detect arrhythmias, conduction abnormalities, and ischaemic changes. Chest imaging via X-ray evaluates pulmonary and mediastinal structures. Female patients additionally receive a Pap smear as part of the cervical cancer prevention programme. All results are reviewed by a physician, who discusses findings and provides a written report on the day.
