The InBody analysis is a quick bioimpedance body-composition scan that measures fat mass, muscle mass, body water, basal metabolic rate and visceral (internal) fat. You stand on the device holding the handles, and it produces an instant printed report. At GH Solutions it is used to set a baseline and track progress through body-contouring or weight-management plans.
InBody analysis is a fast, non-invasive body-composition assessment that goes far beyond what a bathroom scale can tell you. It uses bioelectrical impedance — sending a tiny, imperceptible electrical current through the body via contact points on the hands and feet — to measure how that current passes through different tissues. Because muscle (which holds a lot of water) conducts the current well and fat resists it, the device can break your weight down into its components: total body fat and fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, total body water, your basal metabolic rate (the energy your body uses at rest), and crucially visceral fat — the metabolically active fat stored around the internal organs that is most relevant to health. At GH Solutions the analysis is performed in the Blue House clinic at Spa Resort Sanssouci and takes only ten to fifteen minutes: you stand on the InBody platform and hold the handles while the measurement runs, then receive an instant printed report. No preparation is strictly required, though for the most consistent readings it's best measured at a similar time of day, well hydrated but not immediately after a large meal or intense exercise. The analysis is especially useful as an objective baseline before starting body-contouring treatments such as cryolipolysis, radiofrequency lipolysis or LPG lipomassage, and as a way to track changes in fat and muscle through a treatment course or weight-management plan — showing progress the scale alone can hide. It is suitable for most adults; certain implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers are a contraindication, which is checked beforehand.
